Buckley's Lock
canal lock, Kennet and Avon Canal, KAC60.35 miles.chains from Reading;
Melksham Without, Wiltshire.
Lock house at Buckley's Lock; ashlar stonework in bath stone, and the
string course at first floor level.
Having seen this style of string course on buildings all over
Wiltshire I am not convinced it is a sign of a Kennet and Avon Canal
building as is sometimes suggested.
