Bywash, with fence.
Quite a number of locks on the Kennet and Avon have hade a bywash added in the last year or so. This is a radical change to the hydraulic engineering of the canal, and is presumably needed to cope with the new pumps moving water from below to above flights of locks. The design is nice, neat brickwork. The fence? I don't see a fence round the lock chamber. As one commentator said THEY'll be putting fences all along the towpath next.
