Canal Side Tearoom |

The Canal Side Tearoom is exactly that, squeezed tight between path
and canal. (The garden on the right is the Canal Tavern's.)
The tearoom serves teas, ices, etc, and is a cycle hire agent. (I
think it's all one business?) We're not sure about that last bit; too
many cyclists seem to believe they have a moral right to go as they
will looking to cycle not to look, other cyclists share the towpath
with walkers pleasantly. The towpath is too narrow to share these
functions.

Bicycle hire, and sales.

Sumbrellas.
There is a small but fascinating collection of bits of canal in the
garden.

Some sort of wince?

Cast iron weight restriction sign, which would have been on a bullhead
rail post by an accommodation bridge.
Roller, with toothed ratchet, from a canal plug wince.
