The bridge is brick built, 34 miles 39 chains from Reading, it carries a track from Crofton on the north west side towards Wilton village on the south east. The route is part the roman road from Cunetio, Mildenhall, near Marlborough to Venta, Winchester.
The track crosses the main line railway whose crossing is protected by gates and warning signs; this is a high speed line.
