KandAC mile 54
The entrance to Devizes Yard from the canal side, over the tail bridge of lock 44; work boats in the side pound.
This is the main BWB maintenance yard for the whole Kennet and Avon Canal.

Outside the area of yard offices there is a stockpile of canal necessaries, a fenced compound of bits and pieces.

Coir roll; this is used for reinforcing the canal bank, there is a lot of coir wrapped in a plastic coated wire mesh, the blue bits are plastic inserts, perforated like hair curlers, in which reeds can be planted.
