Froxfield Feeder
Froxfield, Wiltshire KAC30.21

KandAC mile 30
Froxfield Feeder entering the canal westward of Froxfield Bridge.
A small stream from the hills west of Froxfield comes through the village and turns southward to the canal. Where the stream meets the canal is a complicated arrangement; a siphon culvert fed by a circular weir taking excess water under the canal to the River Dun, the remainder feeding into the canal pound. The canal's Act of Parliament, 1794, required that water continued to supply Oakhill Mill along the River Dun on the south side after the canal was built.
