SNAPSHOTS on the CANAL

NB pre-digital camera! (JMN 2020)

Photographs for the KandAC project have been taken as simple 'snapshots'. I have just taken pictures as opportunity offered during walks along the canal with Jean, systematically walking each mile out and back. Whatever happened to be there, whatever two pairs of eyes spotted, whatever the weather, ... we have hardly revisited any site. One Pentax camera with a 35-135mm zoom lens, one sort of film 400ASA colour film, all in landscape format.
All the pictures have been processed and digitised in one way; ordinary shop DandP Enprints scanned at 300dpi on an Epson A4 flat bed scanner, taking a fixed selection 1170x1670 pixels - which suited the set up - saved as .jpg with medium (level 4) compression. Some images were given a little attention for contrast and brightness or colour balance, but not many, I hadn't the time to fiddle.
It gets hard to avoid photographic cliches if you have to take a snap of every lock and bridge and ...
