* As Documentation Officer for Hampshire County Council Museum Service Martin became the first to upload an entire UK museum catalogue to the internet in 1996. He started work on this website to ensure continuing free public access to the important County Map Collection, and added Hampshire maps from other sources, digital images scanned by Jean in a private unpaid capacity, local map history, and his detailed personal research into the maps' content. Jean redesigned and revised the website in 2020.
* Attribution to Hampshire Council as owners of the catalogue data and most of the maps is expected. Commercial re-use of that data may require permission.
