FA1997.63:-
Map, with route instructions, for journeys in Hampshire, generated with Autoroute Express software made by Microsoft, 1997.
The maps are at various scales from about 1 to 375000 to 1 to 60000; the routes selected for this sample of Autoroute maps are the routes published by Ogilby in 1675, ie from plates 25, 26, 30, 32, 39, 51, 81, 83, 97, defining the same start and endpoints within Hampshire, plus some fixed points in between, Autoroute was set to find the shortest route, no motorways; printout was made for whole routes and for separate 'legs'.
Each map has a scale line, the scale depends on what amount of route is being plotted - the user cannot determine scale independently; north is assumed to be 'up' the page; there is no ngr grid or other coordinate system.
Maps are made on a home laptop computer with a Canon colour printer.
