Book binding, half calf speckled leather binding. with marbled and papers, of road book of strip maps, Ogilby's Roads, ie Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd, by John Owen, Middle Temple, London, published by Thomas Bowles, St Paul's Churchyard, London, 1720, rebound lat 19th century.
The binding seems to be a replacement binding for a private library, the title on the spine not being the original; the case was left over from a road book of Owen and Bowen's maps broken up by a map seller, 1998.
