The plan and sections are on 9 sheets bound in a large booklet with a title
page, intermediate sheets, and covers, cross sections are to a different scale,
vertical scales are exaggerated; lithographed by John Lane, 21 Featherstone
Buildings, Holborn, London.

The railway was a joint venture with the London and South Western Railway, LSWR,
from Ringwood, Hampshire, to Christchurch and then Bournemouth, Dorset;
authorized from later plans by W S Moorsom, engineer, 1859, opened 1862 to
Christchurch, and to Ringwood, 1870.
