Strip map, road map, hand coloured engraving, scale about 2-2.5 miles to 1 inch, parts of the Road from London to Chichester and a branch to Winchester, and the Road from London to Derby, from a road book by John Senex, 1719, edition printed for John Bowles and Son, The Black Horse, Cornhill, London, after 1757.

Pl.40 from Guildford through Godalming, Surrey; then Midhurst to Chichester, West Sussex; AND a branch from Midhurst, West Sussex; through Petersfield to Winchester, Hampshire.
Pl.41 from Stony Straford, Buckinghamshire; through Northampton and Brickworth, Northamptonshire; then Market Harborough, Leicester, Loughborough and Kegworth, Leicestershire; to Derby, Derbyshire.
Note - the plate number is at top left and right, the map is double sided.
