COLDHARBOUR, a common house/farm name
Some 'Coldharbours' are known from the Middle Ages, though the name really became popular from about 1600 onwards, in commemoration of a property of the Earl of Shrewsbury in London which had descended in the world from a palace to a rack rent slum. There are over 300 places with this name in England, most dating from after 1600. In Hampshire we find them in Wickham, at Lee near Nursling, and in St Mary Bourne, for instance.
