Lymington Channel

The Lymington harbour channel is marked by a series of posts, of which Jack in the Basket is the outer sea mark, red, port side when entering the channel. Some of the other posts have names:-

Jack in the Basket marks the west side of the navigable entrance to the Lymington River; a red pile with a barrel top mark.
