LAFFAN'S PLAIN, former parade ground in Aldershot
Named after LtGen Sir Robert Laffan (1821-82), former Commanding Royal Engineer at Aldershot, who was responsible for some landscaping at the Camp. The spot was formerly called 'Queen's Birthday Parade'.
