On the lift hand of this creke by west [a] litle from the shore stondith a [cha]pelle of our Lady of Grace sum[tim]e hauntid with pilgrimes.
Minns says:- The locality still retains the name of Chapel, and its site is supposed to be Chapel mill. A causeway leading to it was called the 'Causey of our Lady of Grace,' now Chapel Road
Note:- the creek is the mouth of the Itchen, the shore of Southampton Water.
