SARISBURY
Before 1538 this is recorded only in a document of the reign of Edward I (as 'Sarebury'). It is obscure, and the suggestion that it duplicated the name of 'Salisbury' does not seem likely. A Tudor antiquary may have taken it that way and thereby made the suggestion true.
