Mention of toads (Old English 'tadige' or a possible hypothetical short form 'tadda') suggests that 'leah' here be interpreted as 'meadow, pasture' rather than 'wood/clearing'. The matter is more open if the first element is the same word used as a man's name (cf 'Tadlow' (Buckinghamshire). If the first form is good Old English, the personal name interpretation is better, because it is a genitive singular form. One toad is hardly likely to give rise to a place name like this.
