The present day bridge is the 15th-16th century structure, widened on its
upstream side by 10ft about 1900s. It originally had 6 segmental arches, average
span 11ft, but the span at the west end is filled in. The arches have two
orders; the inner voussoirs of grey limestone like the body of the bridge, the
outer red sandstone.
