refce:	Coates 1989 WOOLTON HILL in East Woodhay Apparently the same as the 'Woulthorne' recorded in 1604. 'Woolton House' is close to a spring which runs to the Enborne; perhaps therefore hypothetical Old English 'Wiellthorn'='spring (haw)thorn', but the records are too late for certainty.
