of Hampshire in the Map Collection of Hampshire CC
Museums Service, item HMCMS:FA1996.34.
This study concentrates upon what can be seen from the
map; studies of the background of county mapping in England,

Harrison's map of Hampshire 1788 was published in 1791 in
an atlas:
Maps of the English Counties with the Subdivisions of
Hundreds, Wapontakes, Lathes, Wards, Divisions, &c. To
which are added two folio pages of Letter-Press, to
face each Map; descriptive of the extent, boundaries,
rivers, lakes, canals, soil, mines, minerals, curious
plants, husbandry, and evry curiosity that is nearly
connected with the maps. The whole containing the most
useful, entertaining and instructive selection of the
kind, that has yet appeared at the price of 3l. 3s.

The atlas includes 38 engraved plates of counties in England
and Wales, dated over the period 1787-91.
In the introduction there is a list:-
