and labelled along the coast of Hampshire in Thomas Kitchin's 1751
map. Some of these are marked with just a circle; others have a
drawing of a castle, towers etc. Calshot Castle South Sea C. Polygonal artillery fortifications are drawn around Portsmouth:-  and to the north of Ports Bridge, etc.  A Fort. Inland castles are drawn at Malwood and Odiham. |
