Hundreds
|
On Kitchin's 1751 large map the hundreds boundaries are dotted
lines, tinted. Hundreds are labelled within their areas, eg:-
BARTON STACEY HUND.
EAST MEAN HUNDRED
ALTON HUND:
Small detached parts are numbered, eg:-
The number refering to a table of parts of hundreds, in which:-
1. Part of Budlesgate Hundred
...
10. ... ... Sutton. ...
...
The relationship between modern and old hundreds is very
inexact; modern hundreds have little use today.
