hills: are indicated by lumpy hillocks (eg pl.30 mile 59).
All hillocks are the same way up. John Ogilby's convention
shewing up and down slopes by, upsideup and upsidedown hillocks,
is not used.
The road might be shown going over a single hill or might be
drawn in a group of hills (eg pl.25 mile 61).

|
The hills might just be beside the road (eg pl.32 mile 73).
|
|
And a group of hills might be drawn together (eg pl.89 mile 35).
This could be interpretted as a ridge, or it may be the beginning
of drawing hills by hachuring?
