There are two tent symbls on Richard Blome's map; south east of Winchester and west of Bitterne. What these are is not known; they are probably copied off Blaeu's map, 1645. |

Beside the river south east of St Mary Bourne is a circle with rays which is a watermill. Although there is no symbol, a mill is labelled at the junction of the Blackwater, Whitewater, etc at the north boundary of the county:- New MillThis is probably the mill of that name on the Blackwater, which is now in Berkshire. There is a post mill drawn on the hill north west of Chalton. |
