Norden's map shows a number of rivers, but these are not named.
Most of Hampshire's major rivers are shown, but coverage does not
appear to be entirely systematic; there are some little streams
shown which might have been left out, and some not shown which
might have been included.
The style of drawing is schematic, wiggly lines whose width
decreases upstream. There are attempts to suggest
complicated braiding such as occurs on the Test or the
Itchen, for example south of Stockbridge. The rivers
that are shown can mostly be indentified, but with a degree of
guesswork because accuracy is not all it could be!
Rivers etc are listed below. Streams which have been located but
lack a name, on OS 6in, 2.5in or 1in maps, have been allocated
a name.
